Cheapest hawaii motorcycle insurance?
31 October 2007In November ill be getting stationed in Hawaii…Im bringing a Motorcycle and was wondering if there is any cheap motorcycle insurance companys…Progressive is what i have now and my insurance will go from $19 to $70…So yeah any help would be really greatful! Thanks!

What do you know about motorcycle insurance?
31 October 2007I spoke with my auto insurance agent this morning (at American Family). She said the following:
1. Full coverage insurance on an everyday 2004 (500cc) Honda Motorcycle would run me about $130/year.
2. I can’t get any kind of coverage on a sport bike until I’ve had my motorcycle license for 10 years; and even if I did, it would cost me $1,000/year.

31 October 2007My friend who rides told me that the law does not require you to have insurance if you ride a motorcycle. He said it's only an option if you want to purchase insurance or not. Is there any truth to this??
it depends on the state — it is not required in all states. for example it is not required in florida, although the law recommends it.
Do motorcycle insurance claims have to be noted on car insurance?

Yes, it is a vehicle claim. If you fail to note it they could claim later your insurance is invalid.

i love dairyland ins. the lowest rates i have found. been a customer for 5 years now and am very satisafied. i insure a 77 harley and a 98 yamaha and my rates are 86.00 a year with uninsured motorist and 50.000 coverage.thats for both bikes combined

here’s the problem, and it wont matter if u are in a car or on a bike. from 16 to 25, if u are male and unmarried, u will wind up gettin soaked for the highest rates, and this is without having tickets. havin tickets will tell the insurance guy this guy is reckless’, and the insurance will go up higher.

progressive was the cheapest for me (first bike, with lein, speeding tickets on record, 2007 vstar) for $619 12 mo policy (vs. $1600+ with other companies.. allstate, geico, etc.)

31 October 2007Anyone have any idea on the cost on motorcylce insurance.. I’m 26 clean record..Thinking about getting a new yamaha cruiser 600-700cc
It won’t be so bad with a cruiser, especially a smaller one like that.
NOT $4,000 though! I don’t know really, but I doubt it would be more than $600 per year, and maybe not even that much.

31 October 2007I had a coupld of friends that have motorcycles and some that have cars. They don’t pay for their own insurance but i wanted to know if by any chance if motorcycle insurance is cheaper then auto insurance. I know auto insurance these days are sky high. But since a motorcycle is a lot smaller, shouldn’t insurance for it be cheaper for it?
Motorcycle insurance is CHEAPER than cars. I pay around $125 for a year….FULL COVERAGE, etc. through Progressive for my H-D. Check around and compare.
Motorcycle insurance for 16 year old?
31 October 2007Just wondering, how much would motorcycle insurance be monthly for a 16 year old, living in NY, say with a 500-600 cc engine bike?
I have a list good websites offering cheap car insurance. They are all reputed insurance compnies.
You can comapire rates between them cause its a big list.
In this way you save money also.
