I have been with American Family since 1987(when I got my driver’s license). I have had some problems(car accidents, car robbery and speeding tickets).
With the car accident, I had loaned the car to my boyfriend at the time and he got into an accident. American Family was fair with me and even went after his insurance company to fix my car. They were easy to get a hold of and easy to work with.
When my car got broken into, I had no problems getting my car fixed. They sent me to a body shop that gave me a car to use.
Speeding tickets–well, they handled it well too. I had received 3 tickets before I had my rates raised. I was pleased with that. They gave me a chance and I am the one who messed up.
My premiums are reduced based on age and they are quick to apply those discounts. The rates remain consistent–they do not go up often. American Family also offers discounts for air bags in cars and having more than 1 policy with them(I have my renter’s insurance along with auto insurance with them).
I see no reason to leave a good company. I am a loyal customer of American Family.
