I was an Allstate customer for over 3 years and my overall impression is a good one. However, notice I said I WAS a customer and let me explain why. During the course of coverage on my vehicle, it was involved in 2 accidents. The first one was the other guys fault and was taken care of by the other company. Allstate did a fine job of expediting repairs on my vehicle and the customer service was outstanding. The second accident occurred while my girlfriend was driving my car and she rear-ended another car. No damage to the other car, $2000 dollars to mine. Once again, excellent customer service and my car was fixed quickly. However, my premiums were immediately increased 60%! No, that is not a typo, 60%. Well upon receiving that news I started shopping around and settled on Progressive who ended up beating my previous Allstate rate before the accident.
