After seeing many ads on T.V. and hearing many more ads on the radio, I decided to get a quote from Geico online. I have a great insurance company to begin with, so I am comparing it to my personal experience.
I went online and filled out my form. To my dismay the quote came out nearly $300 per year more than I was currently paying. I had my sister fill out the form and again, she was quoted $200+ more than she was currently paying. I figured that her and I shared the same company and that maybe all the hype was for drivers with less time at their current insurance company or perhaps they were for less "careful" drivers with negative marks on their record.
I had a friend come over and we got a quote for her as well. We were utterly shocked that her quote came in at $375 per month, just for her and 1 car. She was currently paying $175. I was actually upset at the amount of time we spent to find that it seemed there were no circumstances that this company offered lower rates.
