Allstate car insurance rates are some of the highest in the insurance industry. As a young male driver in New York City, I am paying at the high end of the scale of rates. I am paying over twelve hundred dollars a year in insurance on my car despite the fact that it is a Ford Escort. That is despicable but it is the only thing negative about Allstate.
On the positive side, they have relatively good customer service as they are friendly and courteous to their customers whenever they have a question on their policy. And the one time that I had an accident, which was actually a hit and run in which I had no fault at all, they promptly filed a claim and sent me a check in a very short amount of time.
There is always someone available to answer your question at Allstate. So if your particular agent is not in the office, you can dial a number to get information on your account. This is a great, convenient service for customers as well, displaying the great service at Allstate.
I have not had any interaction with the web site of Allstate so I can not comment on that aspect of their business here. There are however numerous Allstate outlets located throughout the country so you can easily walk into one of them for information on their policies.
