About 2 1/2 weeks ago, I had the unfortunate experience of being in a fender bender. I had just left work and was patiently stopped at a stoplight, when *BANG* I was hit in the rear by a very nice Ford Mustang.
The person that hit me was very friendly. She was a college student and admitted first thing that it was her fault. She even admitted to the police officer that it was her fault, and unfortunately, she recieved a ticket. =( I kinda felt sorry for her because she was nice.
Well….. lucky for me she was insured by GEICO! I am very thankful that I had such great and fast service. I would give it 4 stars!! Within about 30 minutes of the accident (yes, I didn’t waste anytime), I was on the phone with a customer service rep from GEICO and she was super friendly. She wanted to make sure I was okay and immediately set me up with an app’t for a claims adjuster in just few days. I met with them, and they were super nice. It only took about 10 (maybe 15) minutes and they gave me an estimate of $1298. The admitted responsibility without hesitation and also gave me $150 for a rental car. (I was able to rent one for just $5/day so I actually made about $100 on the accident!) They told me the check would be mailed asap, and just a few days later I rec’d a check for 1448.
It was SMOOTH, HEADACHE-FREE, and I have no complaints whatsoever.
I’m not insured by Geico, but I am thinking of switching. The service is unbelievable.
