I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. When I was terminated for "loss of work" with my last company I needed health insurance that would allow me to keep the same coverage that I once had with my group plan. I went through broker after broker and I couldn’t find a plan that would include myself and my wife.
I considered Cobra, but I found it to be way too expensive since I’d be paying the corporate rate for keeping next to nothing coverage. I needed an individual or family PPO plan… that wouldn’t rob my pockets.
After looking through Epinions, I stumbed across EhealthInsurance.Com. I checked out the website and was able to enter into a PPO 15+ from HealthNet. The application was taken over the computer and I didn’t have to go get a physical.
My plan includes dental, health, and vision. They approved me within a couple days, it took longer since I had a medical history. I was sure, due to my illness, that they would decline me on the spot. However, I was shocked when I found that for just $100.00 a month… Myself and my wife would be covered under their PPO family plan.
Customer service was always there to answer my questions regarding the plan. You can reach their membership department @ 1(800) 342-2737. (This number is NOT on their website… and is for membership inquiries.)
EHealthInsurance.Com allowed me to find cheap and affordable health insurance that would allow me to continue seeing my same doctor. Without them, I wouldn’t have had any coverage at all. 40-60% of people here in the United States have NO health coverage.
EHealthInsurance.Com gave me a comprehensive list of OTHER companies that offered a different varied amount of plans and prices. I located HealthNet due to the low price and decent plan offerings. The HealthNet 15+ was the only plan I could find that offered all THREE services. (Health, Vision, Dental) I had additional questions that I was able to answer using the link from EHealthInsurance to HealthNet’s website.
As I’m making an appointment with the doctor today, I’m extremely happy that I have located affordable healthcare. I’m pleased my treatments will continue on the same normal schedule that I am use to.
I’d recommend EHealthInsurance.Com to anyone looking for comparison plans and the easy use of online to fill out your application form.
