I went to this site because they were offering the chance to win a new Mercedes SUV if you registered at the site. Maybe I should quit being taken in by sweepstakes such as this, but I sometimes can’t resist. SO I went to the site, and put in the required information… and the required information on the next page… and on the next page…. and the next. It was a long process, asking an awful lot of questions.
At the end of it all, instead of getting quotes, the final screen says someone will contact you with a quote.
Well, that is not really what I am looking for in an online quote service. If I wanted someone to contact me, I could call an agent. When I go online, I want to get the quote with no muss and no fuss.
Although it has been a while since I used this site, I probably would not go back, since my experience was not very good.
If a site promotes that it gives insurance quotes, my expectation is that you will be able to get them, online, in one session. Maybe my expectation is wrong, but the site should tell you, upfront, what you are going to get.
My feeling after leaving Insweb was that I had wasted my time.
