I picked American Family Insurance because my sister in law recommened this agent to me for our new home owners insurance and all the others I will get to.
So I called the agent to see him and would like to discuss what I needed and what I didn’t need. It was very easy to get an appointment. And I was in a hurry to get the insurance I needed for our new house.
Me and my husband went in and found our agent to be very helpful. (Some of you may be thinking yeah because he wants your money) LOL!!
But he was and we went over what and the how. My husband has a good eye for what was really needed for us and how much. So we went home and we did some quick bookeeping of our totals. And found the first option the agent gave was WAY out of our league. But he gave us another option that would be much cheaper. I also did my own research with other companies and as well as online companies.
None of which could come close to what American could offer me.
We had to pull all of our insurances together with American. Our 2 cars, our boat, 4 life insurances, and a college fund for both kids. And belive me we needed some relief.
Which in turn did save us a total of $567.00 per year. So we have been happy and satisfied with them so far.
But when the accident did happen to our minivan, our agent was there every step of the way. He was able to view the accident photos immediately and get the police report along with the other persons insurance information and got me and my husband were able to get a new van since the other had to be junked.
Although I will admit it took about 3 weeks to get the new van it was well worth the wait.
