GEICO Direct has a large customer base, largely because they spend an large amount on their ad campaigns. I would guess that a large part of my premium goes to cover some of their expensive television ads.
GEICO has not really done anything to either really keep me as a loyal customer, neither have they really done anything to drive me off. Recently my wife and I moved from North Carolina to Tennessee. We moved our policy along with us. Even though my wife called GEICO on two different occasions to make sure that our policy and information were changed, our bill still went to the old address, and we almost received it late.
My wife then called back two more times to get that resolved. We have also contacted GEICO on three occasions now asking for information to be sent to use about their Renter’s Insurance policies, and have yet to receive any information from them on this, even after many months.
GEICO seems to have some issues with their policies as well. Some months we get sent changes in our policy for no reason. We have a growing stack of wasted duplicate policy information that they send us.
I am not impressed with GEICO, but then again I am not upset enough to waste the time moving to another company yet. But if I was telling a friend or family member what my epinion was, I would say, CHECK AROUND FIRST.
