Does your money get in the way. Is it constantly just lying around the house cluttering up space. If so check out Pemco. They’ll take it off your hands in a monthly fashion. Is your money not leaving the house fast enough. No problem! After being with them a few years they’ll raise your rates considerably and make it even easier to get rid of that green fast!
I’m young so obviously the need to charge a bit more for insurance is understandable but consider the fact that I was with this company for 3 years and that together my parents pay less than half of what I pay. I have a perfect record, never even been pulled over (when I was the one driving). Yet, Pemco feels the need to ask me for another $300 a year in insurance premiums.
When I found out that my rates had been raised to $2000 a year I was very upset. To say the least I was mad considering my car is only worth $4000. I tried calling and asking why they were taking so much from me when my car isn’t worth jack. After being put on hold for 15 minutes I was finally connected with someone who later had to transfer me to someone else who didn’t understand my question of if it was possible to lower my rates and had to then transfer me again to someone else. How can you charge so much and hire such idiots at the same time?
After I finally was able to talk with someone who knew what they were doing I asked if there was anyway to reduce my rates. After taking my information she told me in a aggravated voice that there was no way to lower my rates. She talked to me as if I was just some dumb kid and that I was taking up her precious time. Hello! I thought these people could be a little bit nicer considering I’m giving them 1/5 of what I make every year. Angry that I could’nt get anyone to talk to me like I had a brain and was a adult I said thank you and hung up.
I do not recommend going through Pemco. Not only do they want your first born they have rude customer service and in my opinion lie. I was told that my rates could not be lowered because I still owe on my car and therefore could not have my coverage lowered. Funny, I talked to a Rep. at Allstate and was able to lower my coverage and my rates by over $500. Charging a few hundred more than other insurance companies is one thing but $500 is a big difference. Avoid Pemco at all costs, this decision alone will save me half a thousand.
