I’ve had Geico insurance for almost a year now and although I pay a small fortune for my car insurance because I am a young person, I feel satisfied with their service. Their customer service representatives are very butt-kissy when you call with a question or even email their website with a question. I suspect the butt-kissyness is because they are heavily monitored by management, but for what I’m paying them, I’ll take it.
Geico differs from other car insurance brokers in that they offer special discounts if you’re a member of a certain organization, for example, a teacher’s union, alumni of a particular university, etc. They also offer lower rates for those who’ve taken defensive driving classes.
Other nice features offered by Geico are 24 hour customer service and the ability to make insurance payments via the Internet.
