The best insurance there is. - USAA Group - Auto

16 August 2008

I have had my auto insurance through USAA ever since I got my license some twelve years ago now. Not only do they have the best prices I’ve ever seen (and I have compared), but their service is outstanding. I have been in a few accidents in my life. When I called USAA to report them, the person on the line was always nice, friendly, and sympathetic. Once someone was assigned to my case, the service didn’t change. The person was consistently helpful and understanding.

Insurance that wont break the bank - USAA Group - Auto

10 August 2008

I would have to say that USAA Auto Insurance is the best insurance company i have had to date. After trying Geico, AAA Insurance, and State Farm i have yet to have an increase in my insurance rates (other then due to moving to different states). Their rates were lower then any of the other companies i had called. And when the company makes dividends on their policies for the year they roll that savings right back into the hands of the policy holders weather it be by sending you a refund or depositing it into an account. The only thing about USAA is that their services are only available to military and their imediate family. I was so impressed by them that i too switched my renters insurance to them, along with my bank accounts. Their staff is courteous, helpful and experienced. I hope to have a long friendship with their company for years to come.

The Best Yet - USAA Group - Auto

10 August 2008

This is probably the best insurance I have seen yet. I have a 1998 Kia Sportage and a 1995 Ford Escort. Me and my wife are both under 25 and she has two speeding tickets. For full coverage on both I pay only $110 a month with a $500 dollar deductable. They offer a deductable as low as $50 dollars with very little adjustment to your price(unless you’re under 25). A friend that I work with just dropped his to a $50 dollar deductable and it raised his price from $110 to $118 for full coverage on a Jetta. Of course he is 34 which makes a difference. I’m 24 and it would cost me another $85 a month for each vehicle. Though it’s only open to active, reserve, and guard(not available to retiree’s), there are a few ways around this. Let’s say that you had a parent that had the insurance a long time ago. As long as they had it for 6 months or longer, you become eligible for it. In fact, if this is the case, then you are already a member. And as long as you keep it for 6 months or longer then your kids will be eligible. Even if you drop the insurance for 20 years, you are still a member(provided you keep it for six months). There is also a bonus. Your premium isn’t just stuffed into their bank accounts, but rather put into a "pool". Every members money goes into this pool. It pays for all the claims during the year. Now the good part is that at the end of the year, what money is left over is returned. They divide it up(How I’m not sure, but I recieved a check for $166 last year) and send a check. Bottom line, if you can get in the club, you’ll never find a better deal.

I Want That Coffee Mug! - GEICO Direct

4 August 2008

Everyone has seen the gecko on television, and Geico has some very funny commercials. They claim to be able to save you money on your car insurance, if you give them 15 minutes of your time. A few years ago I decided to see how true this was, and lifted my posterior off of the couch to make the phone call. I was instantly connected to a service representative at 1-800-861-8380, and was pleasantly surprised to see how much money I would save. My car insurance payments would drop by 25%, and I was absolutely thrilled. After doing some research I decided to sign up, and I’ve been with Geico ever since.

Better than any other I’ve used - Farmers Insurance - Auto

31 July 2008

Farmers insurance company is by far the best insurance company I’ve ever had dealings with. I’ve had policies with four other companies over the years and for one reason or another I was not satisfied with the service. With Farmers I can get in contact with my agent when I need to without feeling like I’m in a circus. Their rates are by far less than many other companies I inquired about when looking. For me they are easier to work with and seem to take a more personal approach. I have auto and renters insurance with them, which means they give me a discount for multiple policies.(Every little penny helps.) If there is a problem with my account they contact me by phone immediately, as well as by mail, so it can be resolved as soon as possible. From my experience dealing with Farmers, I will not be changing companies anytime in the near future.

Great insurance, great company - USAA Group - Auto

25 July 2008

USAA is not only great insurance, its a great company. They really know how to take care of their customers. I shopped around for a quite a while to find the best insurance for my ford mustang. Hands down USAA had the best deal around. A recent experience, not of my own, has brought me to understand fully how great this company is. A friend was recently in an accident which left his car totalled, he was completely taken care of and has a rental car for 35 days free of charge. I am not aware of many companies who would do that. If you are a military member and need car insurance, I recommend USAA.

They ARE My Family - American Family Insurance Group - Auto

19 July 2008

I have been apart of American Family for about 3 years now and I must say they have been the best Insurance company I have ever had to deal with. Everything I own is insured through this company. My 2 vehicles, my house, and my boat. They are a fairly cheap and reliable company. Although I havent had to make any claims with them as of yet, They seem to be pretty dependable.

Worth enlisting for? - USAA Group - Auto

11 July 2008

Insurance companies are not generally going to get a lot appreciation from me. Personally, I consider them to be socialist, discriminatory, and generally consumed with sucking as much money out of your pocket as possible. USAA, however, is better than most. Limited to members of the military or their immediate family (I’m only a member because I carried over by insurance after my father retired from the Air Force), USAA offers, from my research, easily the lowest rates you’ll find. They’ve been giving members cash back every year when they have high profits, although I don’t know if they’re still doing that. One year it was a full 25% of the premium from that year - most appreciated from an industry that you would expect to take that extra money and just keep it. They’re not perfect, though. I purchased a car, had it for four months, and when the policy was renewed the rate went up almost 20%. Because I had a ticket? An accident? A missed payment? How about because they decided that people with sports cars weren’t paying enough. That episode brought all the evil, moneygrubbing, disgusting insurance-ness right back to the forefront. I can’t overstate how much I despise having my rates go up for no reason, through no fault of my own. Nevertheless, the rates were still lower than elsewhere (and believe me, I checked). Bottom line, it’s the best insurance company I’ve seen, but it’s still an insurance company.

The Best Insurance Company!! - Erie - Auto

10 July 2008

I have been insured through Erie for nine years. They were my first auto insurance carrier and offered fair rates for a new driver, actually the lowest rates available. Little did I know that nine years later their rates would still be the lowest available (for me). I have requested quotes from other carriers and the next best rate was $200 more per year than what I pay currently!

The discounts that Erie gives for multiple policies surpasses what any other insurance company could even dream of providing. I pay dollars more for my spouse’s auto insurance and our home owner’s insurance. What other companies quote for my insurance alone covers my auto, my spouse’s auto, and our home policies!

Good alternative to the big five - American National Property & Casualty

30 June 2008

ANPAC seems to be a good company, the agent is friendly and knows his stuff, and their cash back after three years claim free on home and auto coverage is 25% of premium. I also checked out their Best insurance rating and they were given a rating of A+ which is very good. They have only been in the auto and home market for 25yrs. so they aren’t as well known as Allstate or Farmers, but they have been in the Life insurance field for many years and are very stable company. They also offer a 15% discount on premiums if you put your home, auto, life with them, which seemed to me very generous.
