31 August 2008Long ago, my father was in an insurance pool. Through that pool, he was able to get auto insurance through USAA. He had insurance through them for 3 years before the pool switched him. He loved the insurance, but was unwilling to join the military in order to keep it!
When my husband joined the Army, my father asked if we could get insurance through USAA. He was still praising the company after all these years. At the time, though, USAA was only available to commissioned officers and not to enlisted members of the military.

28 August 2008I could not believe the rate when it was given to me! After moving to Virginia from Arizona I found myself having to find a new insurance company so started price shopping.
After going to GEICO, State Farm, Farmers and many more I called Progressive insurance to request a quote and they told me that ERIE would and could offer me a better rate.
To be honest I had never heard of ERIE Insurance in my life so called my old agent back home and she told me that if I could get them to sign me up to jump on it for there were no better rates to be found!

When I first heard about Progressive I thought "No way, they actually come out to the accident scene and write you a check-on the spot?" Two years later I decided that I needed to be a part of the action.

27 August 2008I was a customer of Cincinnati Insurance for 8 years. During that time I had a few small claims including windshield replacement, windshield repair and a $660.00 claim for hail damage. Whenever I would call in for a claim, my agent would ask where I wanted to get it fixed. They would either send someone to my home for windshield work or tell me to take it to my preferred shop for body repair. The only reason I switched to Traveler’s was the fact that I added my 16 year old son on the policy and my rates skyrocketed. Last week while parked in a parking garage my door was keyed. I contacted Traveler’s, my new company and was informed my rates would go up for claiming a $529.00 comprehensive loss. The great price I got for switching from Cincinnati to my new crappy company is now coming back to bite me. I guess the old saying that you get what you pay for is true. I am in the process of trying to return to Cincinnati Insurance. They are by far the best insurance company I have been insured with since 1977. Their home owner’s insurance is also fantastic. They cut me a check for $15,039.00 for hail damage to my home within a week of the claim.

23 August 2008I bought a car about 2 years ago, after not driving foe several years. I shopped around for the best insurance and prices to go with it. At that particular time, I received a flier in the mail saying Geico would give me the best prices and service. I called and true to their word, I received a quote that I could not refuse!!!

16 August 2008I have had my auto insurance through USAA ever since I got my license some twelve years ago now. Not only do they have the best prices I’ve ever seen (and I have compared), but their service is outstanding. I have been in a few accidents in my life. When I called USAA to report them, the person on the line was always nice, friendly, and sympathetic. Once someone was assigned to my case, the service didn’t change. The person was consistently helpful and understanding.

10 August 2008I would have to say that USAA Auto Insurance is the best insurance company i have had to date. After trying Geico, AAA Insurance, and State Farm i have yet to have an increase in my insurance rates (other then due to moving to different states). Their rates were lower then any of the other companies i had called. And when the company makes dividends on their policies for the year they roll that savings right back into the hands of the policy holders weather it be by sending you a refund or depositing it into an account. The only thing about USAA is that their services are only available to military and their imediate family. I was so impressed by them that i too switched my renters insurance to them, along with my bank accounts. Their staff is courteous, helpful and experienced. I hope to have a long friendship with their company for years to come.

10 August 2008This is probably the best insurance I have seen yet. I have a 1998 Kia Sportage and a 1995 Ford Escort. Me and my wife are both under 25 and she has two speeding tickets. For full coverage on both I pay only $110 a month with a $500 dollar deductable. They offer a deductable as low as $50 dollars with very little adjustment to your price(unless you’re under 25). A friend that I work with just dropped his to a $50 dollar deductable and it raised his price from $110 to $118 for full coverage on a Jetta. Of course he is 34 which makes a difference. I’m 24 and it would cost me another $85 a month for each vehicle. Though it’s only open to active, reserve, and guard(not available to retiree’s), there are a few ways around this. Let’s say that you had a parent that had the insurance a long time ago. As long as they had it for 6 months or longer, you become eligible for it. In fact, if this is the case, then you are already a member. And as long as you keep it for 6 months or longer then your kids will be eligible. Even if you drop the insurance for 20 years, you are still a member(provided you keep it for six months). There is also a bonus. Your premium isn’t just stuffed into their bank accounts, but rather put into a "pool". Every members money goes into this pool. It pays for all the claims during the year. Now the good part is that at the end of the year, what money is left over is returned. They divide it up(How I’m not sure, but I recieved a check for $166 last year) and send a check. Bottom line, if you can get in the club, you’ll never find a better deal.

4 August 2008Everyone has seen the gecko on television, and Geico has some very funny commercials. They claim to be able to save you money on your car insurance, if you give them 15 minutes of your time. A few years ago I decided to see how true this was, and lifted my posterior off of the couch to make the phone call. I was instantly connected to a service representative at 1-800-861-8380, and was pleasantly surprised to see how much money I would save. My car insurance payments would drop by 25%, and I was absolutely thrilled. After doing some research I decided to sign up, and I’ve been with Geico ever since.
