Pemco has served me well - Pemco Mutual

My parents had been with Pemco insurance since the early seventies, for all their insurance needs. That is why I was insured through them when I got my license when I was 16. I have now been insured with them for over 13 years, and I have only had great service. Every couple of years or so I have checked with other insurance companies in my area (State Farm, Farmers Insurance, Geico), and have never found their rates to come anywhere close to Pemcos. When I was 19, I received 2 speeding tickets within 6 months of each other, and my rates were never affected. I have submitted 2 claims, for uninsured motorists, and have received quick service and payment. My rates were never raised as a result of these claims either. This company has given me absolutely wonderful service and I can’t find any other insurance company that even comes close to their rates. Many members of my family have insurance with Pemco, and they are also very happy with the service. I recommend this company to others, I am very happy with Pemco.

GEICO Insurance let us down.

Will they do you wrong?

One accident and they dropped us like a rock:

We had been using GEICO for our car insurance for 15 years continuously when our son caused an accident (the first and only one in all that time by anyone in our family). The very next time that our policy was up for renewal, GEICO sent us a letter stating that everyone else on the policy would be allowed to continue to use GEICO is we either destroyed my son’s driver’s license or if we could prove in writing that we bought him automobile insurance with some other company. GEICO said that if we did not do what they required that our policy would not be renewed.

Excellent Service - GEICO Direct

I have been with the GEICO insurance company for the past 2 years and am still insurance holder of this company.

First of all I like their prompt response. Last year my wife had minor accident that was not involved any human casualty. When I called the company to report the accident, they sent the insurance adjuster the next day and I could can get my car fixed in a very short period of time. I like that prompt service.

Increased Rates for the 21st Century - 21st Century - Auto

Lately I have noticed more 21st Century Insurance commercials on TV. I have noticed that the 21st Century web site looks more sophisticated and user-friendly. By itself, this increased marketing is fine, but when it shows up as increased rates on my auto insurance policy, I just wish 21st Century would go back to being the low-key company I always thought it was.

OVERVIEW

This story arose out of my own personal experiences with Progressive Insurance

Companies. I was a Progressive policy holder until I found GEICO DIRECT.

I have been a Progressive Policy Holder for 5 years plus. I thought they had good rates until

they cancelled my policy, because I paid half the invoice due, on one of my monthly payments.

I was paying $ 1500 a year until Progressive Insurance decided to increase my premiums for reasons

they cannot answer.

Progressive cost me alot! - Progressive Group - Auto

They gave me a low quote. Then, after I paid, they raised it!

I thought that kind of deception was against the law, but after I read a few of the other opinions of Progressive posted here at Epinions, I’m feeling very lucky not to have had an accident.

They only threatened to cancel my policy. They actually DID cancel other peoples policy.

Actually, that brings back memories of my experience with GEICO insurance.

They DID cancel me (They claimed I didn’t send back an information update they sent me.)

Safeco came through for me… - SAFECO - Home

Safeco came through for me when some of my personal property was stolen out of the back of my truck. I went through all the standard procedures — such as reporting the theft to the police department, showing them how the break-in occured, and mailing my original receipt to Safeco — and having done that, I got a check back in reasonable time. The total theft amount was for about $2000.

I’m moving into a new place, and I’m getting Safeco insurance again.

Granted this is just one person’s opinion, but since this the first comment on Safeco Home Insurance I hope it’s useful to someone considering renter’s insurance.

Let me warn you that I may have a biased point of view of Safeco Insurance as I am filing a claim against them.

One evening, as I was waiting to exit a parking lot the young teenage girl in front of me backed into my car. This was a low velocity crunch, no one was injured, and my car was disfigured but drive-able. The girl’s father acknowledged that the girl was at fault and gave me their insurance info.

Bad Deal - SAFECO - Auto

Dealing with Safeco insurance is something you must pray you never have to do. I was backed into by a Safeco customer. They were so friendly when I was contacted by their claims dept. The adjuster met with us and he was so friendly. He wrote me an estimate and a check. He explained what he had written. When I took my car to the shop to be repaired, I found out that he had written the estimate for half of what the cost to fix it was. The body shop contacted him and he argued with them about the cost. He delayed sending the supplement for 4 days. They provided me a rental. I took out the extra insurance to protect myself, at the time I was expecting 3 day for the repair. His delay with the supplement made it take 11 days for the repairs to be done. I called the claims office myself, the more people several time because it was costing me money. The more people I talked to the more company they got. I was instructed to talk with the adjusters manager. After emailing him he called me and was rude from the time I answered the phone. I have never been talked to that way by a manager in any business. He took up for his adjuster and blamed everything on the body shop. I have copies of the emails the body shop sent the adjuster. I hope and pray I never have to deal with this company again.

Dead and never knew it - GEICO Direct

I received an interesting letter from New York State the other day. They were demanding my license plates back. It seems that I didn’t have any auto insurance in effect.

So I called GEICO, and they said that my insurance was cancelled for nonpayment. I told them that I never received a bill. They said that I did; I received a bill, a late notice, and a cancellation notice.

Of course, none of these were ever sent. I get 100% of my mail and I pay 100% of my bills. I am one guy in one house for 15 years and the mailman knows where I am. They have my correct address.
