I am very grateful - State Farm Group - Auto

9 September 2008

My first insurance company dropped me after one accident. I received a letter one Friday stating that my policy would be canceled on the following monday. At about 4:00 Friday afternoon I had to find a new insurance company so that I wouldn’t lapse. I called a friend who I trust and asked who his insurance agent was.

After finding out that it was State Farm I called them immediately. They were getting ready to close, but stayed open so that I could get my insurance taken care of before Monday. In the end I got more coverage for less money than I had been paying before.

Cheap and they’re there when you need them! - Wawanesa - Auto

24 August 2008

Intro:

Wawanesa is the third company I have been insured under. My first insurance company had excellent customer service and was there when I needed them. The problem was they cost an arm and a leg. My second insurance company had low rates but once I needed customer service they were slow, inefficient and rude. Then one day when the topic of insurance rates came up at lunch, someone mentioned a company called Wawanesa that offered low rates and good customer service. I never heard of this company and was hesitant to be insured by them thinking that they were a fly by night operation. However, when I finally received a quote, it was the lowest quote I had ever received and I decided to give them a chance.

Farmers maybe..but not corn fed! - Farmers Insurance - Auto

7 July 2008

I grew up w/ my folks having Farmers Insurance and so of course that was the first insurance I had when i was of age to drive and then have my own car. I continued carrying Farmers Insurance for many years…basically because I didnt know back in my young days that I could change. But at that time I had no complaints either.

USAA- pretty cool for an insurance company - USAA Group - Auto

28 June 2008

After at least 12 speeding tickets, one failure to stop at a stop sign, one running a red light, One passing on the right, failure to use turn signal, one illegal left turn, One expired inspection sticker, and one citation for failure to wear safety belt, I am still insured by my very first insurance company!

I’m not a bad driver, I have excuses for all of them. Namely, that is all acceptable behavior where I am from. Passing on the right is highly encouraged in RI. As is not using your turn signal. We are more responsible than the rest of you. We keep both hands on the wheel. None of this one handed turn signal sissy stuff!! Do you see race car drivers use turn signals ? I Didn’t think so. That’s how good we are up here.

Check your Bill: How GEICO tried to pull a fast one - GEICO Direct

17 June 2008

Check your GEICO quote/bill. If you see the line item "mechanical breakdown" insurance and didn’t ask for it, you are paying extra for something that’s you may NOT need. Here’s the straight facts on "mechanical breakdown insurance" and why you need to check your GEICO bill or quote to make sure you’re not buying something you don’t need.

GEICO’s mechanical breakdown insurance works like an extended warranty on the car. GEICO pitches it as "multi-risk" coverage for new cars: "It protects you from expensive auto repair bills when your car experiences a major failure. GEICO’s Mechanical Breakdown insurance covers repairs to these systems: engine, transmission, drive axle, steering, suspension, air conditioning, brakes, electrical, cooling systems, etc." It is not standard auto insurance coverage but an extra, just like the emergency roadside protection that GEICO sells.

Insurance for good drivers only - 21st Century - Auto

11 June 2008

Its difficult for me to give a complete epinion on the quality of service of 21st century auto insurance because I have never made a claim. However, I believe that’s probably common for most drivers who use this insurance plan. 21st century openly markets their advertisements towards drivers with excellent records. Therefore, it is difficult to be accepted by 21st century. If you have any marks on your record, expect to be rejected. However, if you are a good driver, its a great insurance company because they can afford to offer lower rates. Less risk equals lower bills.

No Disappointment So Far - Progressive Group - Auto

10 June 2008

Progressive is my third auto insurance company within the five years that I’ve had my license. Why? Price.

When I first started driving I had an old 1986 Camaro. Within three weeks of driving I had my first and only accident. My parents weren’t happy about that since at that time I was under their insurance. I was going to college and there was no way I could work full time to support my car. I was going to college in a different state and needed transportation.

USAA - Just try to file a claim! - USAA Group - Auto

20 May 2008

I used USAA for auto insurance for five years, or I should say they used me. They were the first insurance company I had my own policy with. While I lived at home, I was always on my parents’ State Farm policy. When I acquired a car during my second year at the Naval Academy, I needed to find my own insurance. Everyone I knew who had a car there was insured by USAA and, without exception, they highly recommended USAA.
