Awesome, inexpensive, car insurance - National General
6 September 2008I did a ton of looking around for discount auto insurance. I looked at Geico and many of the other cheapies, and was starting to think about choosing one of them. Then I got a quote from a company that’s nationwide, owned by a giant auto company (so isn’t some fly-by-night) and gave me an awesome rate.
The company is NGIC — National General Insurance Company. I went with them and haven’t regretted it in the two years I’ve been with them. Also, their telephone help has been human and helpful.

GEICO Insurance let us down.
Will they do you wrong?
One accident and they dropped us like a rock:
We had been using GEICO for our car insurance for 15 years continuously when our son caused an accident (the first and only one in all that time by anyone in our family). The very next time that our policy was up for renewal, GEICO sent us a letter stating that everyone else on the policy would be allowed to continue to use GEICO is we either destroyed my son’s driver’s license or if we could prove in writing that we bought him automobile insurance with some other company. GEICO said that if we did not do what they required that our policy would not be renewed.
