Allstate–Not A Good Choice - Allstate - Auto

29 May 2008

We’ve had Allstate insurance as far back as I can remember and when I got my license I stayed with Allstate, but their latest screw up has led me to think about switching insurance agencies.

We’ve had a share of problems with Allstate over the years, but most of them I just shrugged off and forgot about until recently. There was the one time after my Mom died in a car accident that they raised our insurance rates (really high) and my Dad called up the office and asked why. He was told his insurance rates were increased because he had been in an accident. My Dad explained to the person that he wasn’t the one involved in the accident and the person who was was no longer with us. They didn’t take the hint, so he had to write the district office and then the state office to get them to lower his rates.

Works for me… - State Farm Group - Auto

26 May 2008

I’m only 18 years old and am still a very high risk driver even though i have no tickets (suprize suprize) and have been in no accidents. (knock on wood)and my cost for insurance is around $400 every 6 months but i’m not on full coverage i think….i dont find this to be all that expensive…but i’m in Pennsylvania and that might effect the rate in some way, i have had no problems with this company what so ever, but i have also never had an accident. I read all the other epinions and it makes me wonder if i should switch companys, but all insurance agencies try and give you cheap rates…then when you get in an accident they bust up yer rates and make you look bad…its a insurance agency, its expected from me at least. This is why i drive extra safe, if i’m gona be in an accident i dont believe it will be my fault. but if it is i hope state farm will cover what they say they will.

nice use of red, white and blue but it is more blue than anything… - USAA Group - Home

19 May 2008

Once they found out I was the single owner of my home and was on deployment after deployment they refused to insure my new home. Even though they cater to the military, G-d forbid you get deployed for any length of time. You must occupy the home for the most part and they will not tell you how many months out of the year that would be. They refuse to give out that information but are quick to point out that most homes have a husband and wife living there. When one goes on TDY the other is still in the home. Thanks for reminding me I’m not married and don’t want to get married. I didn’t know that is a standard that insurance agencies were allowed to use to grant policies. In this time of uncertainty and high deployments it is impossible for any service member to know where they will be at all times for months to come. Thanks for making sure you fly the patriotic symbols in front of everyone’s face to make a quick sell but in reality you could careless about those who do not fit into your mold of perfect.

Great agent means great service - Allstate - Auto

18 May 2008

Unlike many other reviewers on epinions, I have nothing but the highest regard for AllState. I believe that a lot of that has to do with our agent. If you have a wonderful agent, your experience will be nothing but pleasant. If your agent is not so good, you are in for a world of difficulty. My husband has been with AllState since he got his driver”s license 20 years ago. Even through his careless teenage wrecks they were helpful, courteous, and honest.
