Do you think anyone can actually “love” an insurance company? Though it sounds crazy, I do. USAA is the best. I’ve been a member for over 8 years and I use them for my Auto (and renter’s) Insurance. I’ve never had any problems with this company.

A Love/Hate Relationship - State Farm Group - Auto

I have been with State Farm almost exclusively for about 7 years now. I have used both their auto insurance coverages and their renter’s insurance. I have had some good experiences with them as well as bad.

Good

State Farm has always given me pretty good rates for Auto Insurance. Recently, for example, I was paying about $64/mo for full coverage on a ‘96 vehicle. Other companies I called were quoting about $100/month for the same coverage. When I had renter’s insurance it only cost about $15/month which was reasonable to insure all your personal belongings in your home.

Worst Customer Service Ever - GEICO Direct

When I originally signed on with Geico I thought they were great because their rates were so much lower than other insurance companies. Everything was smooth sailing until I had an accident and had to deal with their claims department. That was when the nightmare began.

believe in yourself - Progressive Group - Auto

I had a not-at-fault accident a few months ago and needed progressive to settle my repair for me with the other insurance company and body shop. Progressive response time was fast, agent was polite, I had no complaints about the customer service, etc. But here comes the nightmare: Theres a body shop in town that I wanted to use. However, my agent persuaded me to use one of their “networked partners” in town. He told me that their partners do excellent jobs and the whole repair process will be “THAT MUCH” easier so I figured sure why not. (I just heard from a friend today that insurance companies are not allowed to persuade or even hint their clients to use their networked service… so beware!). Knowing that this networked partner is actually affiliated with a local BMW dealer, I thought I would be fine in their hands. But that was when the nightmare began:

I don’t know why GEICO Direct claims to be cheaper than the leading insurance agents. I tried signing up on a new car with them when I heard they could "save me money". First I shopped around calling almost everyone in the area…then I called them. What did I get? Bullcrap…

progressive is there to help - Progressive Group - Auto

I have been driving for 7 years and have had 2 car insurance companies during that time. I had a miserable experience with State Farm after moving to Pennsylvania 2 and a half years ago (you may read my epinion on that subject as well) I had a bad string of small speeding tickets a couple years ago (which thankfully will drop off in 4 months whoohoo!). Anyway, after deciding to take my business from State Farm I checked out Progressive, and just like the commercial states they gave me quotes from themselves, Allstate, and Donegal. Even though Allstate was a bit cheaper, I went with Progressive because of their honesty in saying they were not the cheapest.

My experiences with Geico Direct auto insurance inspire great loyalty.

Last spring I bought a new vehicle for the first time. It was important to me that it was insured comprehensively, but I didn’t have a lot of time to shop around. I found Geico on the Internet, and within a few minutes of calling, I had a quote. I was looking for a low price, and they beat out the local insurance agents by quite a bit.

Within an hour of that, the car dealership had received my proof of insurance. It was fast service.

Best Buy - Nationwide - Auto

I recently renewed my insurance and I set out to find the best value for my insurance dollar. I went to several insurance agents in my town and ask for quotes from each of them. Based on my information Nationwide was the best value for the dollar. In addition the helpfulness of the agent from Nationwide was far and above that of any of the other agents that I contacted.

I have had friends with Nationwide Insurance that have to make claims on Nationwide Insurance and they have had excellent service from the claims department, they were both efficient and fast with the claims.

Wouldn’t change to any other. - Farmers Insurance - Auto

When my husband and I got married he was already an established client of one of the local Farmers Insurance agents. He has been with the same agents for over twenty years. I had been with Pemco and wasn’t happy with, what seemed to be ever increasing premiums.

AAA Homeowner’s Insurance Is Reliable and Convenient - AAA - Home

When my husband and I got married and bought our first house, we compared pricing and services on homeowner’s insurance, and ended up with AAA. Their price was not the lowest, but they were very easy to work with, offered the types of coverages and options we wanted, and the agent spent a lot of time with us, as new homeowners, explaining all the different bits and pieces of homeowner insurance. We were very pleased with our agent.

You must be a AAA member to get their homeowners’ insurance. Even with this extra expense, the rate was comparable to other agencies, plus we get the benefits of AAA membership.
