3 September 2008I went to this site, which my employer recommends, because I needed quotes for homeowner’s insurance. Since I’m buying my first house, I don’t really know a lot about various insurance options. So first I called my current auto insurance company (Geico), and then I called youdecide.com to see if I would be able to get a better rate.
The person I spoke with at youdecide.com was helpful enough, though no better than the Geico representative. He asked a few more questions, such as how many miles away from the fire station my house was (how the heck should I know?!). And he ended the call by telling me that I should consider getting auto insurance through youdecide and pitching a few of their other products.

8 July 2008A few years ago I checked into this company’s insurance for my 2 dogs. It was very appealing and we had experienced some incidents that the insurance certainly could have helped with financially. I was hesitant though, and currently glad I was. I wondered if would really use this insurance enough to break even. Well, as time has passed and there have been no necessity for it I am glad I did not enroll. You need to weigh the pros & cons, if your dog is still a puppy and is a house dog then chances are he is healthy and wont be in the street or in any physical danger. If he is older and showing signs of aging then yes this will probably help. The yearly shots or checkups dont really add up to that much but of course if you have numerous pets then this may be for you.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2001 UPDATE
I would not fall in love in with an insurance company but I am still very pleased with them. For example, I am in the process of doing a refinance with my mortgage company (going to a new one as a matter of fact). I need an insurance certificate on the house (which I do have). However, the mortgage co. does require additional paperwork and the company was very helpful. They returned calls promptly. I got phone extensions so I could avoid going through the telephone menus (which can make ANYONE go nuts!). All the work is done and now I can close later this week. Even my attorney was pleased with their service.
