Best Rate, but be very careful! - Progressive Group - Auto

As a higher risk driver (22 year old single male, no tickets or accidents), I got quotes from many insurance companies. Progressive was definately the least expensive. The 24 hour customer service was definately a plus in deciding to go with progressive. I like knowing that I can talk to someone regarding my policy whenever I want instead of having to wait to go to an agent between regular business hours.

Always There - State Farm Group - Auto

I have been with State Farm Insurance now for quite a few years. They handle everything for me from home to car to life. I have never had any problems with them and they have always been very pleasant to help. If I have had any questions they don’t make it sound like an inconvenience and help me to the fullest. They are well known and all over so it makes it easy to find them.

In a time when good customer service seems to have disappeared, USAA seems to be a hold out in that area. Customer service seems to be a priority. I have found USAA’s representatives to be very friendly. Yet they maintain a very professional stance. They are happy to answer questions. The few times that I have had to use my car insurance I was treated with the utmost respect. Plus, my rates were never raised because of an accident. This is so refreshing in a world where many insurance companies try to take advantage of their customers. Their rates are very reasonable if not the cheapest for the industry. I have been with this company since 1976. I would be hard pressed to change companies largely because of the reasons stated above.

Storm Damage Claims - State Farm Group - Home

Last spring we had a line of severe thunderstorms move through our area. They dropped large hail, heavy rain and produced dangerous lightning and high winds. Our home was damaged by the large hail. It did much damage to our roof, siding and gutters as well as our vehicles.

State Farm was prompt in the handling of our claim, even though I’m sure they had several thousand claims in our area to handle. The adjuster who came out to our house to inspect the damage was friendly and complete.

Former Insurance Sales person… - Progressive Group - Auto

I think that they have a good product, no other insurance company’s web site even compares to theirs. Their rates are fairly competitive depending on your locale.

The comparison rates were based on what the other insurance companies are required to file with each state by law… and there are other things that can affect your individual rate with each company that they are not required to file. So the comparison rates are more or less a ballpark estimates. The advertising campaign would lead you to believe otherwise. Many people asked us for that State Farm or Allstate phone number.

I have been a member of the commerce Insurance company for 2 years now. They are very excellent to deal with and offer a AAA member discount. About a year and a half ago I was rear ended and called them for help. They were very helpful on the first call and I did not have to play games with them to have my car looked at although damage was minimal. They rapidly took the information from me and set up a case. I forgot to get the other person’s insurance company and policy name and number. With all the other information they tracked it down for me through their license number and address. Within 24 hours I had an appraisor call me to set up a time to come look at my car. They came to me at work and I met them in the parking lot. The person was very professional and I had the estimate back within three business days in the mail. Promptly I was able to make an appointment with my dealer to bring the car in and have it painted ( as there was no physical damage ) They had the check sent to me with the appraisal and it was ready to pay for the paint job. When I went to Enterprise rent a car they had no trouble setting up payment through the insurance company either. They also offered me a discount for taking the MBTA into work each day when I switched my job into Boston when I turn in 11 months of train/subway passes. Luckily I have not had to contact them other than that one situation but compared to the other insurance companies and filing cases with them, Commerce comes in #1.

No One’s Home at 21st Century - 21st Century - Auto

I had thoughts about switching insurance companies when I found out I could save a few dollars by going with 21st Century. Recent events have put those thoughts way out of my mind. I have found that their hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8:15am to 5:00pm and Fridays from 8:15am to 1:15pm. That doesn’t mean that the representative handling the account or claim will be available during those times. In fact, he or she will probably be there even less of the time.

Why I choose Nationwide - Nationwide - Auto

I was recently in the market for car insurance. I had unfortunately let my policy with Allstate lapse. So I hit the phone book. I called every agent in the Danville VA yellow pages. The best rates I found were with Nationwide, which surprised me, since I’ve always believed you pay more for the name backing the product or service. I went through an independent agent and had excellent service. The rates were much less than I had previously paid, and considerably less than the other insurance companies I had called.
