21 August 2008At the beginning of August my boyfriend and I booked an oceanfront hotel room locally for a relaxing weekend. On our second day there, I decided to run home and check on my cats. Being that my house was only 15 minutes from the hotel, it would be a quick stop and would leave me with peace of mind. What I got instead was a major headache and a totaled automobile.
The beautiful, green Escort I wrote a review about a few months ago was hit by an Allstate insured driver who had run a red light. My airbags deployed, my windshield broke apart and I went into oncoming traffic.

10 August 2008I can’t see that paying for Allstate Auto insurance is a very smart thing to do if you want your automobile fixed to a “before wreck” condition without a hassle.
I shop all my insurances every 5 years. I try to do my homework, read other peoples comments on the service of a company and find out about the company’s business practices in the event I should have to (GASP)ask for money rather than sending them money.
In my fact finding mission re: Allstate, I find that they are getting awards for starting their own body shop chains!

as with all insurances, the prices differ where you are.
but it is rated at the top for being used,
go where you are comfortable with sales person, get the best coverage, and like what you get.
These folks are good, the coverage is good, and the refunds are quick.
I think you would really like it.
For them to be rated 3rd, they are honest, cover many things, and are an established company.
So you can find them about everywhere.

When they first began doing business in 1922, USAA was open only to Officers and their spouses and children. Years later, USAA had an eye opening break through idea.
In this they realized two IMPORTANT things.
1.There are a LOT more enlisted personnel in the military than there are Officers.
2. Enlisted personnel and their spouses and kids need insurance, banking, and other financial services too.

22 July 2008Being a military family doesn’t come with many advantages. The unset schedule, the moving, and the pay are just some of the many disadvantages to this lifestyle. But I have to admit, this auto insurance is a great plus to those in the military. It is unfortunate that it is not available to those not affiliated to the military because it is a wonderful company.

21 July 2008I looked at a lot of other opinions here before I decided to write one. It looked like most of them were a little on the negative side. I have had Sate Farm for about 13 years. They have never done me wrong!
I found that my agent, Darrean Dunn of Lansing, MI is top notch! Darrean is always available and even gives out his home number, because "crises don’t just happen during office hours."
Sate Farm has been very responsive and helpful when accidents occurred whether my family or I were involved or not.

13 July 2008I picked American Family Insurance because my sister in law recommened this agent to me for our new home owners insurance and all the others I will get to.
So I called the agent to see him and would like to discuss what I needed and what I didn’t need. It was very easy to get an appointment. And I was in a hurry to get the insurance I needed for our new house.
Me and my husband went in and found our agent to be very helpful. (Some of you may be thinking yeah because he wants your money) LOL!!

17 June 2008I’ve been insured under Geico for almost a year now and am quite satisfied right now. The experience was pleasant from the very beginning. The operator was VERY friendly and informative. I had questions on exactly what the individual coverages were for. She answered my questions quickly and concisely. In other words, no uhs and umms, or "Hold on while I check with my supervisor." My only regret is that I didn’t get her name so that I could speak with her whenever I need to call customer service or refer friends. They don’t advertise to be the absolute cheapest around but they were for me. They were about $200/yr. cheaper than any of the other insurances I called. I’m insuring a ‘99 VW Beetle. It doesn’t seem like a whole lot of reviewers so far have had much experience with claims. I’ve had two vandalism claims in which my car was scratched. Geico handled them quickly and forked over a check to me within a week. The first time they handed me a check right away after the adjustor looked at it. The second time it was mailed to me. I did have the $250 deductible but that’s expected. My rates were not raised because it wasn’t my fault. Overall, my experience has been very good and I will probably stay with them for quite awhile.

14 June 2008I am a military wife and all I can say is it is a tough job. We are promised benefits and they are usually free for a while or they are taken away. I can say that with USAA they promise us low insurance rates and they keep there promise.
USAA used to be for officers or their families only, but times have changed. They are for enlisted members too. I am glad they made this change because I think it is only fair if you are going to be for military only you are for the whole military not just higher ranking authorities.

7 June 2008When my husband and I got married and bought our first house, we compared pricing and services on homeowner’s insurance, and ended up with AAA. Their price was not the lowest, but they were very easy to work with, offered the types of coverages and options we wanted, and the agent spent a lot of time with us, as new homeowners, explaining all the different bits and pieces of homeowner insurance. We were very pleased with our agent.
You must be a AAA member to get their homeowners’ insurance. Even with this extra expense, the rate was comparable to other agencies, plus we get the benefits of AAA membership.
