Very Expensive - Liberty Mutual Insurance Group - Auto

After Getting quotes to insure my 1999 Golf GL, Liberty Mutual was the most expensive by over 1000.00. Even after calling Liberty Mutual and speaking with a rep we couldn’t get it any lower than 800.00 more than the lowest quote I got.

On the plus side, I did get a very prompt reply to a web generated request for rate quote.Also I called the Liberty Mutual Help line and spoke with a very nice gentleman (whose name escapes me at present) who was also perplexed as to why there was such a large difference in rate quotes.

When I was first looking for car insurance, my parents wanted me to go through their company. They had used American National for years, and had been very happy with the results, so of course they urged me to use the same company. When I got my car, I wanted to have insurance put on to it right away. I didn’t want to have to wait for an approval, I didn’t want to have to wait for the information to come to me in the mail, and I wanted it to all go very painless from start to finish. Well when I called them, I had to give a lot of information, and then I was told that I would need to call back in 3-5 days to have an official quote and to start up my insurance coverage. This wasn’t at all what I was hoping for, because I wanted to be on the road quickly, and I didn’t want to wait around for them. To top it off, they came in with a quote that was much more expensive than I had originally anticipated. This is when I decided to look into GEICO Direct Insurance.

Save money on Your Policy - Reliastar Life

I’m an independent financial planner in New York and a key part of planning is to have the right type and amount of life insurance at the right cost.

Reliastar, which was acquired by ING several years ago, does business in New York as Reliastar of New York, and fits the bill for a lot of my clients. Variety of Insurance Products — Auto, Home, Life, Disability… - American Express - IDS Life Insurance

Every time when people ask me, “Who is your insurance company?” and I said, “American Express,” I always get a doubtful look. But yes, American Express does not only have Credit Cards, Banking, and Financial Advisors. They have insurance products too.

I first learned about American Express’ Auto Insurance offering through direct mail. I made the call and I doubted that I could save much money because I already had a very good insurance premium at that time. To my surprise, their quote was 20% cheaper than what I was paying. I did not switch immediately because I had never heard of the insurance services from American Express. I checked out American Express’ website, and couldn’t find any information on their insurance services. I almost wondered if this was all false advertisement. Finally I made a risky decision — I switched my auto insurance to American Express within the week.

On March 12, 2001, my wife crashed into my garage with her 1991 Toyota Camry, destroying it and most of everything inside as well.

Initially I was told by my insurance agent that I was not covered at all. I found out later through researching and prying out information that I was in fact covered by her insurance company (Arbella).

Then the fight began… For weeks, the insurance company blamed the snow for the crash and said that they would not pay. I heard rumors from one of the structural engineers that came to investigate the claim for Arbella regarding their poor financial situation, and became very nervous about ever seeing any portion of the coverage at all.
