I was stupid enough to buy insurance from Geico. It was my first experience with any insurance company and of course I made the worst choice possible. I needed basic insurance and the cost didn’t seem to be high (I realized that it _was_ high later after some research 
Ordering insurance over the telephone was quite simple. I needed a temporary card and they promised to fax it to me. I did receive a fax from Geico in about 30 minutes but it wasn’t my card at all… Anyway, finally I got it. It took about a month for them to mail me my real insurance card and of course my name was misspelled. For two months I was calling their customer support almost every week to clear all of the problems. Their paper forms were extremely complex and hard to understand. Customer support people were not able to help either.

In order to receive their insurance you must be in the military, but once you have retired or you decide to leave the armed forces you may retain your membership. Their rates are great! And they offer just about any kind of coverage you can think of.
They have the best prices I have found for insurance. When you move you don’t have to worry about finding new insurance. They will go with you!
