I have nothing good to say about Allstate but, I do have alot to say. I have been a safe driver with no tickets or accidents since I have been driving. I started out with Allstate as my auto insurance carrier and have had them for quite awhile now. I am so unhappy and &*&#^&^ upset with them I can’t think straight. I can not begin to express the anger I feel towards Allstate.
It begins like this…. When I was buying a car I had full coverage with Allstate. When my car was broken into, they told me there was nothing they could do to help us. Here we were stranded in a different city. We wound up paying for the damages out of our own pockets. So I took full coverage off and went on my way. Next thing I know my son was getting his license, so I started a policy on our own. We paid a "deposit" of $273.00 and were told this would go towards our first months payment. Well it didn’t. We were LIED to, we got a bill a few days later. It turned out that this was their processing fee! Now my son has a car of his own and I added it over the phone. God help me when I got the bill today for $227.80!!!!! Lo and behold on the back of the bill they have put this "policy change" expense on us that was $73.30 and also included the month left on the old policy (which was paid) PLUS added in the SAME month the new policy payment. I have noticed that they have also included that $5.00 payment charge! This should be illegal.
But, this isn’t all folks. When my daughters were almost killed in an auto accident they lied to me and told me I didn’t have PIP, un-insured, or under-insured motorist. Can you believe that!!! I got me a lawyer! Allstate has no mercy! All they care about is MONEY! Truly we are NOT in good hands and I am looking for a new auto insurance carrier as I type!
